Going Missing

Kat Molesworth

Hello again friends. I know I call you friends and for the most part we haven’t met but I do think of you as my friends and this is where I come to check in and share.

By rights we should all be sat around my kitchen table (on a day when the cleaner has been so everything looks neat) chatting non-stop about what we’ve been up to. I know we’d regularly forget to pick up the children because there was too much to discuss.

So think of this as a check in from me. I haven’t come around in a while and the longer I leave it the more of a big deal it seems. This time of year gets on top of me a little and when I’m squeezed I go to ground, it’s not just you I’ve been missing.

There are so many factors which feed into this; school has been on holiday and the juggle of work & family occupies every corner, I filled up my hard drive so I can’t edit photos until I fix it, I done several in-person events which fill up my evenings with prep and we went on holiday (oh I can’t wait to tell you about this!). All small enough in their own way but together it’s like there’s no room left for me, and us.

And then there’s the huge mountain of work I have to do for Blogtacular at this time of year. With just over two months to go, my to-do lists grow and grow. Of course you know I’m not moaning about this; serving the Blogtacular community and putting on events which delight people is honestly what puts a spring in my step and makes my heart burst with pride. It’s just we’re at the point in the planning where I have to increase my pace a lot to hit the deadlines (thank goodness for Kelly who is the one keeping us on track).

All that said, I’m back. It feels good to write to you. I have so many things to share with you so don’t think you have seen the back of me yet.

Now, how have you been?

Lovely to see your post pop up Kat, although the podcast has been regularly appearing in iTunes so it doesn’t really feel like you’ve been gone!

Glad to hear I’m not the only one feeling like this (no Blogtacular to arrange, but having just returned from a Bloggers’ weekend, plus all the things you mention – school hols, family break) I still feel this way!

Super excited for June and I appreciate all the work you’re putting in behind the scenes. It’s going to be worth it. (Just remember to take some time to breathe :D )

Hey Kat! Totally know the feeling, I am literally the same. I feel I should start every post with ‘Sorry it’s been a while’, but you know what? People understand life gets busy, and they forgive us! :-)
I have nothing as immense as Blogtacular on my plate, but a huge house renovation, wedding, freelance work and part-time job (oh yeah, and blog!) are keeping me plenty busy! Lucky there is so much lovely stuff to look forward to though, and Blogtacular is going to be simply amazing, cannot wait, and looking forward to meeting you in person! Wish I could offer to help with some organisational stuff but this year is just crazy, but totally up for it next year. x

I always miss you when you don’t post in a while. Your blog is my favourite visual treat. x
