Evening Playtime

Making the most of their time together. A couple of hours in the evening sun. Splashing, pouring, chatting and unwinding over the water table.

They were soaking and shivering by the time they came in for supper. Clothes left by the back door, quiet giggles as they sat at the table without them.

So nice to see them reconnect after being separated through the day.

Cute and glad you had sunshine – it’s been horrible and drizzly here but I do love a sunny early autumn day!

Lovely. We had pouring rain here, but we had plasticine play before dinner and dressing up and tea parties after dinner. Oh, and dancing to ballet music in amongst the rest, and a failed sunset experiment, between starter and main course. This is because I was ill today and Chris took over organising the children – if it had been me it would have been shouting and screaming and far too many cartoons on the You Tube. I’m planning on taking some lessons from him, as I seem to have forgotten how faciliate happy playing.

It’s like the old saying of not seeing the wood for the trees, if you’re doing it everyday it is hard to lift your head and take a step back. A blessing to be ill and see another perspective x
