I have lived in Winchester my whole life give or take a few years but it’s rarely I stroll through the streets like a tourist.

This weekend with the Spring sun warming my skin and my blog buddies coming in from out of town for a day of chatting, shopping, photos and wandering; I got the opportunity to slow down and take it all in.

Isn’t it great to lift your head and notice where you live once in a while?

And to meet the locals.

A long time ago I used to live near Winchester and used to pop in regularly at the weekend. Nice trip down memory lane, thanks. I still miss The Hambledon!

Lucky you – Winchester is beautiful! And that pink door is just gorgeous. Hopefully none of it was flooded too badly.

Just found your blog, sat with a cup of tea having a lovely read! :) I haven’t been to Winchester in ages, last trip it was pouring with rain which put me off exploring but I knew I’d missed out on a lot of potential exploring! You’ve inspired me to take another trip soon, while we’ve still got that lovely sunshine!

This is such a cute idea, being a tourist in your own town! Right up my street as well, as I’m always looking for free or cheap days out.

I discovered your blog this evening through HIBS100, I’m fairly new to the blogging scene, so am just building my networks. I write a frugal living blog, and I’d love it if you popped over to say hello. :-)

What gorgeous images! It’s amazing how beautiful the place you live in looks when you have a good eye and a camera :)
