About a Girl

It’s funny how different your relationship is one on one with your children. Betsy and I suddenly find ourselves with two days a week together. Nearly seven hours to fill.

In all honesty it isn’t since Milla was one that I’ve had so much time with just one child. I’m finding it quite unfamiliar and wonderful at the same time.

And we have fun on our adventures. Moving at her pace for once, following her lead with no need to negotiate with siblings. Finally the youngest can spread her wings and find her place in the world.

So here’s to the last years before school. To days of discovery, silliness and cuddles. To finding our rhythm and taking our time. Here’s to my girl and her crazy, fierce and wild ways.

My girl and I only have two hours a day whilst biggest is at nursery but they are two sweet hours. I’m shocked at how much she has to say when there is less competiton! I love the tractor photo, unadulterated delight!

You’re so right – there is an explosion of conversation I just don’t get at other times.

    Beautiful post and images!
I am loving having time with my youngest two and even though he is with baby Rudi, it really is giving Max a chance to grow, to express himself so much more and to have lots of time with me all to himself! Precious times indeed. x

And so fleeting, these days seem to move faster every year!

Gorgeous pictures as always. In that last one she looks so like Milla.

It is funny but since losing her wing man during the day Kate has become so much quieter and much more shy. I am seeing a very different side to her. It is fun being out and about just the two of us though.
