Sunday Morning

Sunday morning used to be:
:: long lie-ins
:: lazy breakfasts with visiting friends
:: watching children’s TV (even though I was in my twenties)
:: grocery shopping at the farmers’ market
:: planning a slow-cooked meal
:: pushing the thought of work from my mind
Sunday morning is now:
:: rising when I wake
:: a long to-do list
:: putting on my favourite tunes (Dire Straits today – straight out of Sunday mornings of my childhood)
:: holing myself up in the attic
:: starting with a vist to my favourite blogs
:: little visitors who come up with the best excuses to join me for a few moments
:: loving my work

Have a great different Sunday!! Life is always changing!!
This made me smile in recognition. Sunday mornings used to be:
- long lie-in
- long bath
- reading the whole of the Sunday paper
- lazy brunch
Now they are more like:
- early alarm call from one or other girl shouting, ‘Mummy!’
- CBeebies
- family breakfast together
- all off to church
Although I miss the sleep, I like our new routine as well. :)
Love it! I have a variety of Sunday mornings
1) sunday with family (the best)
2) sunday without children :((
3) early start long day at work
4) climbing into bed (post-night shift)
How times/lives change!
