We may be atheists but there is nothing better than an excuse to go to town with the pancakes.

We started in the afternoon with blueberry cloud pancakes (would you like the recipe? Let me know…) and then moved on to my traditional pancake recipe for supper with a myriad of fillings both sweet and savoury.

I’m yet to deviate from my love of lemon and sugar – the others are nice but it’s so ingrained in me. Which filling makes you flip?

I’m a lemon and sugar purist too – but I like the sound of blueberry cloud so yes please for the recipe.

Lovely pictures. Is Monty saying cheese? It’s hard to beat lemon and sugar but I like mushrooms in milk as a filling too.

You can’t go wrong with lemon and sugar but last year a local shop was selling salted caramel sauce to put on pancakes and it was incredible.

I like lemon and sugar but the children have converted me to peanut butter and strawberry jam mixed together.
