First Day

We knew this day was coming and yet it snuck up on us so quickly. We set out in plenty of time and made our way through the rain. We stood in line alongside fellow parents making awkward eye contact. We went inside and she looked up at me and said: “Bubye Mama!” So we were a ‘we’ no longer, I left her and walked home with Monty. Waited for a phone call to tell me she needed me which never came. Monty and I went to collect her after three hours and she bounded up to him squealing his name. It could be my imagination but I am sure she was walking more boldly.

The sign of a confident young lady. Did she do back the next day?

Awww, love the pic of her with her bag, she looks so little, but like she is going there on her own!
H never liked being left at nursery so was expecting same with L, but she was like Miss M and said to me, “you go now” so I did. Happy she was happy, but still a little sad I wasn’t needed. Its a big step for them, but a very worthwhile one. Glad it went well.

I love your top photo – so sweet. They seem so small don’t they? On Oldest’s first day I felt like I had to force my legs to walk me away down the path. I’m glad it went so well.

How adorable is Miss M! And she’s wearing the bag – yay! She seems so grown up and I’m glad she took to it. It’s strange when they have a social life that you’re not directly a part of – like a whole other world!

@ The Madhouse – she did and has even got a lip wobble when she has to come home and not stay for lunch club!

@ Abby – are they still the same?

@ Hayley – I do too, would have been unbearable if she had been unhappy about it.

@ New Mummy – I think so too!

@ Natural Mummy – I take a lot of going for a walk pictures, not sure why :0)

@ Natalie – she has done nothing but talk about how she was going to take that bag to play group since you gave it to her, she loves it! I know nothing of what she does there she says, “I can’t talk about it Mama.” What is it? Fight club??

@ Young Mummy – She likes to hold the pom poms as she walks. The funny look she’s giving me is because I asked her to drop them for one frame!
